I'm taking the company van, a Fiat Scudo, from Budapest back to my farm in SW Wales, starting Monday pm or Tuesday am.

Does anyone want a lift (1 normal person, or 2 thin!) or alternatively some luggage taken back? (must be able to inspect it in case of naughty stuff...illegal immigrants, etc!!!)

I'll be stopping enroute to stay in hotels, but not expensive ones.

They'll have to weirdo English speakers as my Magyer is embryonic. That's why I gave my Magyar mobile, not my main UK business mobile. When I'm not in Hungary, it stays off.

p.s how do I meet other expats around here anyway?

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum. I don't know when you plan on returning to Hungary but there is someone looking for a lift back from the UK around the 30th of June or 1st of July.

Balatonbrits is an expat club which meets monthly, near Keszthely.
We ourselves hold get togethers of 10-15 people one or twice a month, usually for something to eat, a couple of drinks and a chat, again in the Balaton area.

Dear Rural Hungary, Thanks for the reply. I'm coming back by air in early July, sorry I can't offer a lift then. I've bought an old car over, which I leave here. Have both the van and it here at the moment due to the ash making me drive rather than fly last trip.
I'll look forward to meeting you all sometime in July. Notification of when & where is promulgated how? Regards Tone
