Default driving past balaton sound

We have to drive to budapest airport from west of lake Balaton tomorrow morning which coincides with the first day of Balaton Sound festival, should we avoid the area and go north of the lake or just add a little time to our journey? Any info about how busy it gets is appreciated thanks

My wife says there might be a lot of traffic coming to the site - mainly from Budapest and maybe also from Sopron, where the Volt festival just ended.

So the traffic might be heavier in the opposite direction which shouldn't bother you too much.

The main road on the North side (75?) is often overloaded, leading through many villages as is main road 8 farther north.

Listen to the traffic warnings on your radio - and good luck!
