Default Budapest automatic fare collection back on track

I was handed a leaflet outlining the virtues of the new RIGO AFC system at Deák Ference metro yesterday. Looks good but will it actually get into operation when billed?

Info at RIGO

I think it will go into operation, just like the Oyster Card scheme did in London. It gets rid of paper usage, ink usage and litter.

It will need funding properly at first though, because Hungarians are not at their best when it comes to digital and online. Their websites are full of English mistakes (the MÁV START website being an example) - Even though they have the money to invest in a good English copywriter they still insist on using none. Plus the fact they love paper anyway. Probably not satisfied with their Biro invention anymore, now the world has since gone digital
