Smile Voluntary work in Goa

Been discussing visas and voluntary work with friends who care for animals in Goa while they are here and the Tourist Visa from the UK does not allow for this type of work. It seems rather harsh but thats straight from VFS and anyone caught not adhering to this can be fined and deported. Any work, even voluntary, requires a Work Visa. Please let anyone know who may be involved.

Years ago in Calcutta I did voluntary work and there's numerous organisations there with tourists doing voluntary work-almost a case of don't bother by the local FRO but I think things could be harder in Goa than West Bengal.

I have been on an employment visa for years since they changed it from an entry visa. I have to say it is a bit more hassle than a tourist visa, but makes up for it by allowing to stay for more than 180 days
