The Minister of Water Resources, Uma Bharti stated that human excretion around the sacred site of Kedarnath in Utterakhand caused the floods that drowned 6000 people... I think what she was saying the gods are angry at all the crap around the temple complex and that they sent the rains to clean the place up.I wonder what the relatives of the 6000 people who drowned will think now that the Gods are to blame and not the weather and deforestation in the foothills of the Himalayas by illegal logging.Prime Minister Modi said yesterday that Indian science is second to non and that Cosmetic Surgery existed in India 2500 years ago and pointed to Lord Ganesh as an example of Transplant surgery !The year before the BJP won the election they tried to hold up a geological survey of Adams Bridge in regard of building a rail bridge between India and Sri Lanka citing it was the work of the God Hanuman or was it Ram, anyway they said it might provoke the wrath of the Gods by interfering in their work ! Scientists in India should be examining the Human Genome to discover what Gene causes people to come out with this sort of religious rubbish and find a cure for the medical condition.As for Uma Bharti, she needs to be taken back to the hospital for more treatment

Actually she stated main reason for the floods was unusual heavy rains etc. Probably the religious bit was propaganda to get through to people regarding hygiene. Doesn't know when to stop talking!!
She always gets majority votes in MP and it is a very important state. So possibly unlikely to be sacked from ministerial post.
