Just had a quote from Fernandes in Candolim.Implants cost from 10,000 to 20,000. Bone graft 5000 to 9500.Crowns from 4000 to 6000.Metal free from 8000 to 12500.This seems to incredibly cheep compared to what my Hong Kong tooth puller wanted here in London which was £2000.Any imput gladly welcomed to these prices.

John, Aquaviva F at Candoli has all the best equipment and is charming, and will accept a negotiated discount on your quotes for cash. He is a teacher at Belgaum and attends all the international conferences regards new techniques.
That said, I had some crowns which went wrong. One year later he was honourable about sorting it under "insurance of the Lava crowns", no cost to me, so I found myself again at my own transport in Caranazalem, Panjim where a replacement was made, a bridge this time and not the Lava 3M porcelain crowns I had already paid for.
He could have almost bought a Tata Nano on the money I gave him, but he has a much smarter car than that and has not used public transport since.
3 years later I still have gum disease around only the area of the crowns. He understands that reputation is everything and is very genial and competent even if I think his diagnosis and treatment in my case was arguably incorrect.
I went in July this year to the dentist near St Anthony's, Calangute in the middle of the road. Rain and power cuts apart, after a month of being rained out, the place closed, the power not on, all the usual Goa shit..... she was competent and charming. I would recommend her, at a fraction of cost. She will charge you the same as a a local. Respect.
I once went with Tommy to a shithole dentist just a above Delsy, Bar, Calangute. Of course, Tommy wasn't paying and I was buying the drinks. RIP, a gentleman flawed and still missed.
A Viennese mutual friend of ours from Pidu's and Hysun's has been having a 2 year treatment of implants at the Pinto's daughter/ niece place ( left hand side as you leave St Anthony's towards St Alex). I have only heard good reports from there. Well, T is beginning to smile for the first time in decades but he still loves a chillum.
FFS I sound like a dental tourist, I'll be shipping dodgy handbags and saying how nice the taxi drivers are next, and how cheap it is to get rat arsed pissed and trudge home in the rain because the bike's broken down and there are no taxis and every taxi on your mobile is suddenly out of reach/ switched off or just doing jiggy or checking out online porn.

Re: Looking for a good dentist in Calingut
Thats Mrs Lewande my old dentist of 15 years. Her surgery is around the corner about a hundred meters down the road from Our Lady of the Intersection. She would have been my first choice but i was mistakenly under the impression that she did not do implants, just plain old dentistry. But now i have two to choose from which is much better. The last time i saw Pidu, she was directing traffic on the main road near Bobs Inn after an accident between a bus and scooter. It wasn't serious and scooterist wasn't hurt but the negotiations regarding compensation were and Pidu being Pidu couldnt let a good opportunity for juicy gossip go past. Last time i was in Mrs. Lewande`s surgery i noticed her maiden name, Kamat.....is she one of Kamat holiday homes lot ? But back to Pidu the one i do miss is Mama Cecile...i have some crazy memories of her place before Cockoos Taiwanese needle pushers arrived in 98.Thank for the info though gladly needed.

My dentist is Reagen Delgado. He make me 2 implants and for my wife 3 implants. Some other for friends. All very good and without problems.
Last year for a implant with crown 40'000InRs. He wants to take 6 months till to fix the crown. He bring a surgeon to do the cutting and drilling and Reagen is assisting. He is not in Calangute, he's clinic is in St. Anthonys Hospital in Vagator. He is independent and has nothing to do with this strange Doctor from the Hospital.
