Default Hospitals and Doctors in North Goa...

Hi all being a bit if a preparation nutter I would like your recommendations for any hospitals, medical services and doctors you may recommend in Goa.

In an emergency etc. I recall seeing some kind of ambulance service leaflet in Calangute, not sure where I got it from to be honest, might have been in Calangute's chemist now I think of it.

Thanks

dr dukle at candolim and galaxy at mapusa are best as msj5 said 108 for ambulances free across goa or anywhere in india. However keep a couple of paid ambulance service numbers also.. god forbids but if you or anyone you know do need one it may be handy.. as 108 can be slow.

good luck
be safe

Dr Dukle in Candolim and Galaxy in Mapusa. Both offer excellent service and care. I had a problem shoulder and on the way back from shopping in Mapusa popped in to Galaxy to have an X ray withpout an appointment. Waited 15 minutes, had the X ray then waited to see the spcialist who gave me an injection and suggested some excerises. All done in less than an hour for 300 rupees. Amazing!

Many thanks great forum this : ) much obliged.

It does not take much of a search to know where not to go... I spotted something about a bloke from UK who died after just a broken leg in a Goan hospital and delay tactics from the same place regarding a local with a garden snake bite.

Unlikely to need but one just never knows so best to plan.

I note Galaxy seems to specialize in orthopedic, skin and eyes although it does say "Multispeciality" on closer inspection.

Appreciated !

Found Dr. Dukles FB hospital page here:

I will be on my way in a couple of days : ) looking forwards.
