GOA - BHCI Meeting 2016
ALERT FOR BRITS IN GOA:-
PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING TWO MESSAGES FROM RICHARD VELLEMAN OF THE BRITISH PROPERTY OWNERS WORKING GROUP
Hi All....Please see below a communication we have had from the British High Commission re the meeting we advised you of in the last newsletter.
The meeting will be on Wednesday, 20th January. It will be at the Fidalgo Hotel on 18 June Road, in Panjim between 3 and 5pm.
This time we are not having the usual Town Hall where we address the gathering, instead we plan on having it on the lines of an Open House. We thought it would be more useful to use it as a forum for people to come and talk to you, the Property Working Group. We will be on hand if people want to know about our lobbying but would like to use it as an opportunity for people to approach the Property Working Group for practical advice for e.g. on how to approach the Government’s Property Committee or the Enforcement Directorate.
People can walk in anytime during that time slot and meet us and yourselves (GPOWG).
There have been developments since we last had a Town Hall meeting so we hope as many of you as possible will be able to attend the meeting. Also please pass on this information to any other (British national) friends & neighbours who might be interested.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Regards...Richard

Dear All
A revised timetable for the meeting in Panjim this coming Wednesday.
The meeting will still start at 3.00, but it will open with a short introduction from me (the Chair of the Goan Property Owners Working Group (WG)) about some of the key issues which we are trying to deal with. People can then ask any general questions in the wider group; and then members of the WG will be available for individual meetings with any one who wants specific advice on (eg) matters relating to the Enforcement Directorate, the Property Committee, Company matters (including RBI Compounding procedures and current property registration costs), Visa issues or 'C' Forms. Members of the British High Commission staff will also be there to answer questions about their lobbying and meetings with officials in both Goa and Delhi.
Can we stress that this is an opportunity for ALL British Nationals with property to meet with the Working Group and the BHC, whether or not they currently have difficulties with the ED or the PC. And because we know that we are only in contact with some affected British Nationals, please can all of you who get this message spread the word.
Best Wishes
Richard (on behalf of the GPOWG)
