We use them only for very short domestic flights as can be cheaper. Already they charge separately for check in baggage, and website not good.

Yes but if you add in connecting flights, check in baggage, food etc. the price will rise.
The prices for flights of less than one hour are regulated so naturally most will take more than an hour!
Jet Airways are reasonable if you book early --on their site--and get the 'special cheap price'. Although peak season prices shoot up

Why have flights gone up this year?
well not everyone noticed at the time but the pound devalued approx 15% post the brexit vote.

Yes but even allowing for a 15% currency devaluation Qatar went up by at least 25% from previous years

we waited for the (inevitable?) special offers "up to 50% off" - and paid less than last year.

Guess you were lucky, I just checked the Manchester flight for our dates, its come down a bit @£669. Guess we got lucky as we booked Oman air @£400 but 7.5hr transit in Muscat

My sister will be flying very soon and then she will realise what voting Brexit really means.82 Rupees to the pound, which is roughly a bottle of beer now in a shack on the beach ! Hopefully the more airlines compete in the Delhi/Mumbai route the price will drop to trans-Atlantic levels.Air India are moving in the right direction by replacing old Jumbos with Dreamliners. I always find it strange that Mumbai airport is very under used during the day to cater for European arrivals. Anybody explain this puzzle ?
