Cultural differences and integration? Aren't we talking about expats here.................. or immigrants?

Oh sorry that wouldn't make any difference either.

Read it again and see if you still think its wonderful, or just a collection of glib generalisations

Yours gratefully

.

Are you saying that expats have no need to integrate or appreciate cultural differences? Only immigrants?

They Just need to make use of the weather, the beach and the food? and join with their own group in denigrating all else?

Most expats I would think are not of this mind. Am I wrong?

Rough Justice!

In May 2010 Tohseef Shah spray painted a British War Memorial
with "Islam will dominate Osama"
HE was fined £50 & walked free from court.

In November 2010 Emdadur Choudhury burned a Poppy during the
2mins silence.
He too was given a fine £50 and walked free from court.

Last week in a Portsmouth Court two men were sentenced to 6
months in prison for painting a Poppy on a mosque.

We descend from the DM to chain emails from the Utah bunker. This seems a suitable investigation of the garbage you posted: http://www.anorak.co.uk/299258/news/...-vandals.html/

Noni this story about the Portsmouth Mosque appeared in 2010, and 2011 is it one of those 'pass it on e-mail' things ?

PS duplicate as didn't see Fatbrits post.

Did you read through all the long list of comments? I thought they were a great mix of views and genuine discussion.

I read the book 'These Foolish Things' a couple of years ago and then recently saw the film.
I have to admit I preferred the book because that was even funnier than the film. Well worth a read as they have changed some of the main characters for the film. In the book the old boy on the pulll is hilariously less tame than the guy in the film.

Many of the 3 pages of comments in the guardian reflected this view, I found the different opinions quite interesting to read.
(Looked it up after J5's rubbish description" maybe it is more interesting to women?).

I haven't seen the film or read the book did you enjoy it?
