how prestigious are German universities outside of europe, I'm talking about places like Singapore, India etc.?

I had never heard that,German universities have campuses outside of Germany, so I think that might be part of you answer.

Well neither does oxbridge, however it's known everywhere around the world.

That's pretty much the opposite of what I am saying. Oxbridge doesn't have foreign campuses and yet is world renowned. German universities, I have learned today, do have overseas campuses, but I did not know they existed, at least not until today.

I'm just surprised that a country like germany doesn't have famous universities, and I'm not talking about schools like oxbridge, but like the grand ecoles or durham.

It was you that mentioned German university campuses in India and Singapore. I have better things to do than research international universities which I have literally zero interest in attending! ...... I had assumed that you knew what you were talking about, which I will admit is a rookie mistake to make when reading posts on an internet BB.

Reputation and quality of education are two different things. Off the top of my head I would say Heidelberg and Munich have good international reputations. The Times World Rankings would seem to back me up on this:

You must be a certain kind of special, I've never mentioned that there are any campuses in Asia. All I'm asking is how reputable German universities are.
