i guess without German you need to think about Frankfurt/munich/Berlin/Hamburg.

If you decide to go to Frankfurt i can help with informations!

Hi, I am English and live in Celle, Northern Germany, one of the biggest problems is the language barrier. Annoyingly most of the shops are closed on Sunday and close fairly early on weekdays compared to the UK Supermarkets, Germany is a super place to live. The lifestyle is a little bit different but nothing that cannot be handled.

Maybe look up www.manpower.de or www.manpower.co.uk. they are agents who help people find work . My nephew spent 6 months working in Holland and Germany.

Most places where there's a University have one or several "Irish Bars". Most of the staff arrive not speaking much German, but it's a good environment in which to pick it up.

I guess its fair to say that I am close to retirement age and well settled into Germany. I have a well paid job and have been here for sometime now. I have also lived in other places around the globe. I make frequent trips to UK and can compare the difference between Germany and UK and can say Germany definitely has a better standard of living and is in my top five, but for me UK is still 'home' and I will eventually return to UK even if it is in the bottom five.

Hi Johnny, I'm in a similar position to you. I love Germany and have been many times, in fact I've just come back from Berlin yesterday. I do bar also and would love a change. PM me if you like and we might be able to help each other out as I would also like to move there soon.
