You should not apologise for quoting any newspaper. Pertinent information can be found in a wide range of publications, it merely widens our outlook on life.

Although the Express often shows startling headlines (I look at the headlines of most newspapers in shops!), we can take many with a pinch of salt. In any one week the Express will forecast Arctic and Sahara weather, cancer and Alzheimers are cured, WW3 is at the end of your road, and unelected House of Lords members are conspiring with unelected EU bureaucrats to reverse Brexit, we need to consider that some might have a touch of truth, especially the latter.

I also quote the Express or Mail, as well as the Guardian and many others from around the world when I write emails, we should never close our eyes to what others are reading. Newspaper snobbery and blind addiction to one point of view should be avoided, yet in Britain it is an obsession. My Guardian-reading brother is truly afraid that his paper could be contaminated if it touches a Mail, though if a shop wants to give me a free copy of any publication, I would accept it with thanks. The fact is, we can choose to ignore anything we don’t like, but if this Guardian article had been in the Mail, Express or Sun etc, would pompous people say it was “typical of these rags?” https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...cidental-death
