can they be called British...???
Playing Devils advocate, and just throwing something into the pond of life to deliberate ripples and debate.
In the news of late, we have had alot of reports of terrorist attacks around the world, obviously mainly the Middle East.
The press have reported on various occasions that British citizens were involved supporting
the various terrorist movements.
Can we relate to these people being "British" they and their families mostly innocent, and caught up in young generation cultural arguments that have no relation to what or where we
may measure > for arguments sake...."Britishness" or simple UK belonging <
These 'British terrorists ' deny their association and refuse to identify with anything British.
So why should the British then give them the right of recognition.???

There are plenty of expats on BE who do not identify with anything British, prefer their new country and say they will never go back.

Regrettably it comes down not to Nationality but Religion - which has no bearing on the passport held. Perhaps we should do away with National Passports and replace them with Religious Passports.
Britain is now well known for being the home of terrorists, where they can incite and train people with impunity because of over-reaching rights laws that seem to be bent to suit the individual without any concern as to the rights of the majority. And all for free on the Legal Aid ticket. Even blatant illegal immigrants are allowed multiple appeals at public expense.
