part new, part old items

Hi I need to know if something, I am moving back to Australia from UK and want to ship some personal items but also some new items . Will they add the new thing and the old things that are in with the new together to get the price over the $1000 duty free amount, or just count the new things in the shipment?:(

Unless you are shipping brand new stuff still in its orginal packaging I wouldn't worry about it. They are not going to sort through your shipment and sort it out into "new" and "old" stuff.

Hypothetically, if you decide to declare new stuff, the duty free allowance only applies to things on which duty would otherwise be applied, so only the "new" stuff.

Thanks for that, i wasnt sure if it had to be sent in differant shipping loads. I am not very good at trying to decode what they say on their website.
Cheers
