Default Shipping to Australia - What to take

The process of finally getting everything in place to move to Australia is long and stressful enough, so when you finally get to the last few stages and the physical move more stress and decision making is pretty unwelcome!

It helps to be organised and deciding what to take with you is half the battle.

The key areas to consider are:
  • the cost of buying new vs. the cost of shipping
  • the stress and time factors in shopping for new items
  • the emotional impact of having familiar items around you (or on the flip side the clean slate of a fresh start)
  • what items will and won't work in Australia
  • what you're legally allowed to import and what might be restricted/prohibited by the border protection authorities

We've recently written an article with some tips in these areas which should hopefully help you to start making a few decisions. Check it out on our website http://www.bournes-uts.co.uk/news/entryid/90/international-shipping-to-australia-what-should-i-take-and-what-should-i-leave-behind.aspx

Did you take everything and wish you hadn't or did you leave alot behind and wish that you'd taken something with you? Be great to hear some thoughts from those of you who've already made the journey!

This should be working now! Our developers were making some changes to our site yesterday which meant some files weren't working properly but just had a look and it's all good today. Hope you find the article useful

Hi, sorry about your issues with our online inventory form... can you tell me which browser you are using? We have problems with safari occasionally but I can send you an excel version if that's easier?

thanks, Kirsty
