Has anyone found a chain of stores in France (that I may be able to find locally) that sell arts and crafts bits n bobs...bit like a hobbycraft really. I am not sure what they are called here? I think I may have seen one locally but cannot for the life of me remember where? I am particularly looking for offcuts of fabrics etc.

Hi, I've never noticed fabric offcuts in an arts & crafts shop (and AFAIK there's no national chain of such shops). Try a "mercerie" (haberdasher) or the "travaux de dames" department in a big store, or Google "patchwork France" and you'll find at least two companies that sell patches on-line.
