Places to meet up in/near La Force and good places to learn French?

Where are a few good places to meet up in La Force? Bars and pubs aren't my scene. maybe a recreational club (Like books or movies, mot drinks) or something?

Also where are a good few places to learn French? Would be very helpful seeing as I'm 'trapped' here. (Nowhere to live back in England.).
