ONLY IN FRANCE
Well the larger super stores had their doors open all day today and it's a good thing as we get nearer and nearer to christmas,
I thought we'd done all our's and wouldnt be going near the store's but
"she who must be obeyed"
had other ideas and to be honest any excuse to take my pride and joy for a run is reason enough.
And so off we went to gueret and Leclerc super store (i think ive spelt that right) As we drove up the new ramp the open car park on the right hand side was empty "not a single vehicle on it, I parked up very happy that no other vehicles near enough to belt their car doors into mine, and we walked approx 20 yards and you come onto the next car park its the nearest one to the doorway of the store,
Well it was chocker block with cars everywere, people waiting for others to finish putting their goods in the boots of cars, horns blowing as two cars we're trying to get into one parking place, and as we crossed the road to go into the store's doorway two cars we're parked on the pavement.
I wonder what these people would think of uk's city parking we're you pay and all the double yellow's, signs telling you you cant park unless you've a letter off the pope etc,
I really do feel the french dont really know it but as far as parking goes "they've never had it so good".
We finished our shop and i was glad to get out i really was, one old dear caught my ankle with her trolly and it really hurt, she smiles and said pardon, i smiled back and said it's ok, then she did the same to a woman a bit further on,
When we got back to our car the car park was still empty except for ours
It was then my wife said "did you see those push bikes somebody had left by the window inside the store,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(They we're for sale bikes) some times its better to say now't isnt it
