Default Les Eyzies

Can anyone recommend a nice area near Les Eyzies . We are relocating to the Dordogne and this is our preferred area but would be grateful for any other suggestions of nice areas for expat families . We have 3 children age 11 , 6 and 7 . Thank you

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Before deciding where to relocate, I would worry about your eldest child's education. 11 is a bad age to be thrown in at the deep end in Collège, unless the pupil speaks French already and knows a lot of French culture. The younger 2 would have no problems in Primaire, they'll pick up French in no time.
Take a look in the "Schooling" thread in the Read-Me: Moving to France FAQs above. The part concerning the Bac is out of date, but that wouldn't concern you yet....
You don't mention how you'd be making a living and consequently how you'd be acquiring healthcare coverage.
And as a matter of interest, is there a particular reason for choosing Les Eyzies? Very picturesque, but fewer than 1000 souls.... A quick search showed fewer than 100 pupils in the Ecole Primaire and the nearest Collège is in St Cyprien. We live an a village of the same size, with a Collège/Lycée 5 km away, which, even for our 2 children, was complicated as they grew older....
HTH!
