I shall present my naked neck at the Prefecture the next time I have need of their expert advice. I'm sure though that they will require a bit of paper which I never expected needing before the chop.

The DVLA change of address on licences is quite clear, there is a £1000 fine if you do not tell them of a change of address. Now saying that they will not of course accept a French address so if you are classed as resident in France it means a change of licence....

That is unless you run the gauntlet when / if you drive in UK
