French children UK nationality??
All my kids were born in France and are of course French. I would like to have them registered in the UK and have the UK nationality. Has anybody any experience doing this? Who should I approach?
Any feed back would be very helpful

Re: French children UK nationality??
No idea whether it's simpler nowadays, with UK Consulates not doing Passports any more, but I think the first step would be to register them at the nearest UK Consulate in France (Paris for you?). Take along all French documents proving their existence, your Marriage Certificate, Livret de Famille if you married in France, ... I don't think they'll ask for justification of domicile, but take your Avis d'Imposition and latest EdF bill, just in case!

Re: French children UK nationality??
Hi, I presume your OH is French? When my two were born, I registered them at the British Consulate in Paris (we lived in the banlieue at the time) and when they were old enough to have their own Passports (they already had French Cartes d'Identité from birth), the procedure was relatively simpler.

My local consult is in Lyon - I didn't think of contacting them and I didn't know that consulates didn't issue passports anymore either, as my last passport was sent from Lyon. I'll look into it tomorrow. Thanks
