Excellent new thriller series on TF1
France tv has been excelling of late with some of their screened series.
Following the excellent macabre thriller La Main du Mal - The Hand of Evil screened last year, 2 days ago saw the first episode of a ten-part, chiller thriller, Ennemi Public.
This is a Belgium production which has already captured the attention of Denmark, Germany and the UK tv channels for eventual screening.
The plot stems around a multiple child killer, freed from prison having served 20years. He is put under the care of monks in a remote village in the Belgium Ardennes. A young police officer has been sent initially to ensure his and the villagers protection. A short time after the convict's arrival at the monastery, a young girl disappears.........
I watched the first 2 episodes on TF1 last Mon at 21:00, and for fans of Broadchurch and the like, this series introduces some equally strange characters, and a similar dark mood, focusing on the convicted killer, the monastery and surrounding menacing, wild Ardennes forest. The sound-track is also icing-on-the-cake.
For those with a reasonable knowledge of French, not to be missed!
Here is a brief preview:
The first 2 episodes can probably be seen on tv-replay.fr

If any one's interested in watching the first two episodes, it's showing again on HD1 this evening at 20h55.
