Hi, can't help personally, but google "campings avec animaux admis" to ensure that your dogs will be accepted.

camping on a farm can be very cheap and lots of fun - most places will also accept dogs. This site is in french but I did a quick search for you using
sejours
Bordeaux
100km radius,
if you wanted a pool and a dog accepted then there were 2 options, lots more if you don't want a pool.

this link will give you the 2 options http://bit.ly/1mUQs2I

I used this guide for camping in spain and portugal a couple of years ago. The campsites were excellent, maybe not the cheapest but we also wanted a bit of a holiday too! They were all great campsites.

I've assumed you have a tent not a motorhome, but if you have a motorhome then the "aires de service" in France and Spain might work for you.

Ah Zuco, just remembered the municipal campsites in France. Owned by the local mairies they will be very cheap. Some can be very, very basic but I've stayed in some gorgeous ones, usually ones a bit off the beaten track.
There are some good municipal ones south of Bordeaux on the coast.

I would recommend an english guidebook to help you choose one though, something like lonely planet perhaps? You'd need to check carefully about the dog though.

If you plan to travel in the french school holidays,(july-august) then I would absolutely, definitely reserve in advance.
