Any body have a list of Scientific companies based in the South of France
area from Menton to Toulouse in the Biological field. Research, product management, marketing, technical sales etc

Preferred area Sophia Antipolis near Antibes.

If you're looking for jobs then try Indeed.com

They search the french job listings too and put them all on Indeed.com. You will need to be able to use french job search terms though, not english ones unless the companies have placed the ads in English somewhere. (might be worth a try).

Since France is French (!!) and getting contacts is really the best way to get a job interview.. I would also network like mad using LinkedIn, find contacts. join groups and make sure that your profile says you are looking for work in your specific area. Job search on LinkedIn too, this function is especially good and you could try signing up for their free 1 month trial of "jobsearch premium "

PS Might be better to ask in the france section of the forum too. I only found this by accident.

Have lived in France for 20 Years - Strasbourg, Caen, Toulouse and once or twice in South of France - Have used Linked in and Research Gate which nearly is samething. However, do not wish to state looking for job - your employer may notice !!

Also the Biological field is nothing like computer field - quite specialised and sometimes difficult to always find what you are looking for!

That's a real cultural difference isn't it? I notice quite a bit that my US/UK based contacts will write their profile and at the end put something like " for my next role I would be interested in xyz" which leaves it open to be contacted without being very obvious. I think that is quite harmless enough. You know that you can switch off the update being sent out so that your contacts aren't alerted - especially if your current colleagues are on LinkedIn with you.



From what I've learned about jobsearch premium on linkedin, it is very good and obviously confidential.
Where are you at the moment?
How long since you were in Tournefeuille? As you might have guessed, I lived not a million miles away from there.

At first glance it seems as if Paris and Lyon have (perhaps unsurprisingly) the most but a few in the region you're researching are also listed.

"parler français autrement" has unfortunate connotations in my mind I sometimes parle français autrement although I try not to...

What's that advert slogan it's reminding me of, with "autrement" in it? Please somebody tell me, or I'll be trying to think of it for ages.

I have a feeling that the recent slogan you allude to was an ad for some motor vehicle, but can't recall which.
Apple had a huge 'Think Different' ad slogan a number of years ago. It was popular in France and elsewhere. And as a great fan and collector of AppleMac vintage products, I know that the slogan also read across to a French language ad version known as 'Pensons Autrement' (Apple). You'll probably find the ad clip on YT under that title.
