A few years ago I recall there was a great to-do in Spain about Air Traffic Controllers salaries. I believe some were pulling down close to a million Euros a year.
In the UK I know it is generally about £60-70,000. I belive in France they start around €110,000.
Still, I have little doubt that it is a level of stress I would not want.

...which was, I read, a commitment from the Government to invest in modern technology, thus enabling the ATCs to get out of the mid 1980s. Bloody Luddites.

Yet Another Strike Possible
Air France pilots are expected Thursday to announce strike action for September in protest at planned organisational changes to the French national carrier.
I was going to book my tickets this week with AF, I'll be looking at other carriers now.

A bit like the old days of a large UK airline.
I think the government only own 18%, so other shareholders may need to chip in.
I'm sure Mr H will sort it all out.....
