I'm new to this group - hello!

I've been in France for nine months now, and live here permanently. I came from London, giving up a full-time magazine editor's job to go freelance. I live with my husband in the Mayenne countryside, on the border with Normandy.

I've just got round to registering with URSSAF to pay income tax and social security contributions over here, and am still desperately a good, reasonably priced accountant who can deal with me remotely and help me sort out issues such as backdated VAT, how to structure future invoices, and with ongoing accounting and filing of French tax returns. All my work is for UK magazines, and is currently paid in pounds sterling, but I have to pay tax in France as I live and work from here. Any leads welcome.

If anyone is interested in trying an additional discussion group, you could also try http://www.webvivant.com, which has resources for Brits in France, plus a good, lively email discussion group much like this.

Thanks in advance,

Sue
