It's because of the BBC changing satellites to Astra 2E or F I can't remember. If a retune doesn't work then I'm afraid you've lost it.

Not sure if there is a solution yet. Maybe a bigger dish. There is another thread here about it. Or a google search.

Threads on all the southern European forums, there is already one on the France forum, amy be more advice there, but the option for you over there does seem to be a bigger dish, or use the internet via VPN, or at least some method that tlees the sites you are in the UK. It's also possible that you will lose all the SKY programmes as they are likely to move satellites as well.

What dish do you have and when the system was installed did a professional with a digital meter align the dish or was it self done?

You will need to special order one at a electrical small retailers ask in a Diy store they can probably get them as well, Where are you going to put it because if it has any height off the ground a dish over 1mtr needs a Permis de construire as I understand the rules.

Amazon.fr has a 110cm Triax for €83.
Unless you are in a co-propriété it's best just to ask at your mairie. Unless it's on your roof you probably won't need a permission.

BBC moved to Astra 2E last week, ITV is also due to move tonight. A bigger dish, better LNB, and a dish realignment will probably be necessary as the satellite beam is now more focussed on the UK. A retune alone is unlikely to fix it. This link carries more information:-

A retune sorted mine.

Can's get all the BBC channels. But I always find one region that works. BBC NI seems to be pretty strong.

Us too! Can get BBC in the morning, but not late PM or evening. Will try and retune today. Not good timing with the Winter Olympics on!
Not at all fussed with ITV what so ever.....it's rubbish but losing BBC is not good for me!

BBC and ITV have just come bank this morning in the Var so clearly Astra are still fine tuning their new satellite. Probably best to wait until the situation is more stable before making changes to your system.

Default satellite reception Limoges area

Hello all,
I'm coming to spend a few months at my flat in Bellac, Haute Vienne, and have just heard about the satellite changes. Can anyone in the area tell me how this has affected reception of UK channels?

Hiya

I'm further down, Lot et Garonne.

I did a retune. Lost the main channels but cant get the regional BBC channels. So we can get most most things. BBC NI seems pretty strong.
