Re: Tropical Cyclone Anthony
Totally personal view after disucssions at work today - yep its possible. Most of the models have TC Anthony turning back towards the coast - he has already turned more to the SE instead of due east - and at present he could well come back and impact the coast somewhere. Its not beyond the realms of possibility for him to go further north to make landfall (Cairns/Cooktown) but the consensus today among us amateur cyclone-watchers was somewhere in the Townsville-Mackay-Rockhampton-Gladstone sector is the most likely.
Hopefully by typing that I will cause him to do a rethink and head off out to sea, but.........to be honest until he turns more there's no way of predicting for certain.
Anyone into serious cyclone watching, there is a fabulous forum on www.weatherzone.com.au ,well worth a browse.
