That welcoming note was short lived ABC as when I checked the update it has split and now heading straight for us... .

Rain has just started.

Well better head for bed before the main thunder I suppose... .

Checking on the actual Radar, the gap has opened up completely, and looks all clear now for my house

But everyone either side gets it

We had a fab storm for about 2 hours. The lightning just didn't move from one spot at all, a bit of rain but mainly thunder and lighting. All gone now though but didn't hear which way it went

Doesn't do anything for me either. Just as well I married him for his money - not his backside

Tonights storm is like a flourescent light when the starter motor is on the blink lots of fast flashes. Normal rain though and no hail or mega wind so far.

Bloody hell what a cracker tonight! Lost power very briefly a couple of times. Thunderbolts seem to be falling all around, very close. The city keeps dissappearing, then re-appearing again. Some nasty hailstones - bit scary on our tin roof I can tell you. Strange that the cat appears to be oblivious to it all.....maybe he's going deaf.

Anyway - only a bit of rain now. Don't mind the rain - it can rain all night and I bet our garden will still feel bone dry tomorrow.

Holly cow, That was a buete of a storm, I am still trying to wonder if my eyes were playing tricks on me cause the whole sky went like a wild green colour. As long as it has passed for the night it can rain like a good un.
