Got jolly windy down in Sydney last night (and not from the vegetarian curry I had the night before) - was howling round my 5th floor bedroom. Was certain some of you up the coast must be having it rough.

Spent a weird night monitoring it not long back - when the water was rising in Emerald there were several people posting within the town itself and they were giving up to the minute reports of how high the water was and which streets were going under. Very eerie, and for some of them very emotional, but from our point of view at work it was invaluable info to keep track of what was happening overnight.
