At least eight killed on peninsula Eyre Peninsula - my country - people I know. Crops are in - eazy days but watchful. Families holidaying seaside. |

Hope everyones friends and families are ok.
We have had an evil hot day, 38 degs plus a wind that would have cooked tea if i'd have put it on the deck. Searing. The whole house is rattling and creaking with the gale, but its so strange as the A/C is on full :eek: |

Been listening about it on the news all day!
All around here it's all High to Extreme fire danger as well. Don't think we had reasonable rain since Boxing day. This weekend Yanchep National Park burned down. Even the road signs were burnt, and it'd jumped the road. Was arson. Yesterday when I went to the bank for work there was a fire behind it in the little bit of shrub! Fire truck was putting it out. Must've been lit too. Hope your people are ok Megs. Damn, conditions aren't looking good for the coming days! |
