Issued at 3:49 pm WST on Friday 25 March 2016.

Weather Situation
A middle level cloud band is developing to the northwest of the warning area and is likely to bring a period of widespread rain and thunderstorm activity to the warning area from late Friday night until Saturday evening as the cloud band extends southeast. Rainfall will start initially over northwestern parts of the warning area and extend southeast during Saturday before easing from the northwest during Saturday afternoon and evening.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:

Have an emergency kit with a battery operated radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit.
Ensure pets and animals are in a safe area.
Campers should find shelter away from trees, power lines, storm water drains and streams.
If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 pm WST Friday.
This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's web site at Australia's official weather forecasts & weather radar - Bureau of Meteorology or call 1300 659 213.
