MODERATE FLOOD WARNING FOR WARRILL CREEK
Issued at 5:57 am EST on Sunday 5 April 2015
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

River levels on Warrill Creek are approaching a moderate flood peak at Harrisville, with a minor flood peak expected at Amberley mid-afternoon Sunday.

Heavy rainfall up to approximately 100 mm was recorded during Saturday evening in the upper Warrill Creek catchment. Further showers and rain are forecast for Sunday but are not expected to worsen the flood situation.

WARRILL CREEK:

River levels are easing in the upper catchment and are approaching a moderate flood peak at Harrisville. River levels continue to rise downstream to Amberley.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
WARRILL CREEK at:

KALBAR: Fall below the moderate flood level (7.0 metres) during Sunday morning.

HARRISVILLE: Moderate flood peak around 4.5 metres by 7 am Sunday.

AMBERLEY: Minor flood peak around 4.5 metres expected mid-afternoon Sunday.

MINOR FLOOD WARNING FOR THE LOGAN RIVER
Issued at 7:12 am EST on Sunday 5 April 2015
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

Issue Number: 2

Minor flood peaks are expected at Beaudesert and Maclean Bridge.

Rainfall totals of approximately 50-110 mm were recorded in the upper Logan catchment during Saturday evening. Further showers and rain are forecast for Sunday but are not expected to worsen the flood situation.


LOGAN RIVER TO YARRAHAPPINI:

Minor to moderate flood levels are easing in the upper Logan River, whilst river levels are approaching a moderate flood peak at Round Mountain. River levels are rising downstream to Yarrahappini. Major flood levels in the Teviot Brook at Boonah are easing.

LOGAN RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF YARRAHAPPINI:

River levels are rising downstream to Maclean Bridge, but are currently below minor flood levels.

LOGAN RIVER at:

BEAUDESERT: Minor flood peak of 6.0-7.0 metres expected Sunday afternoon.

MACLEAN BRIDGE: Minor flood peak expected overnight Sunday into Monday.

WATERFORD: Remain below the minor flood level (6.0 metres).

EAGLEBY: Remain below the minor flood level (3.0 metres).

INITIAL MINOR FLOOD WARNING FOR THE LOWER WEIR RIVER
Issued at 8:00 pm EST on Saturday 4 April 2015
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

Issue Number: 1

Minor flood levels are expected at Talwood on the lower Weir River on Sunday morning.

Rainfall totals of approximately 60-120 mm were recorded across the lower Weir River catchment to 9 am Saturday. Further rainfall up to 36 mm has been recorded to Saturday evening. Showers and storms are possible for the next few days but significant rainfall totals are not expected.

WEIR RIVER: River levels are rising between Giddi Giddi South and Talwood, with the most significant rises recorded at Surrey and Talwood.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:
WEIR RIVER at:

TALWOOD (manual): Exceed the minor flood level (3.0 metres) early Sunday morning, with rises to around 3.3 metres possible overnight Sunday into Monday.

Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
