Default vaping

If you want to stop smoking, then stop smoking, it's as simple as that. This vaping lark strikes me as no better than thumb sucking, but it does serve to keep you addicted to nicotine and keep you giving them your hard earned cash. Also, adult colouring books?? when the **** did this happen? If ever I see a bloke sitting in a coffee shop, sipping on a latte laced with hazelnut syrup, whilst vaping and doing some colouring, I'm afraid I will have to throw things at him. Hipster twat

My OH works in publishing. Adult colouring is huge...they sell 100,000s of them...not sure which particular listing but they are top of the sales chart!

E cigarettes should be subject to the same rules as smoking, they are just being used as an excuse, 'ook at me, I'm trying to give up, but still need my nicotine fix' No-one yet knows what the problems will be 10 years down the line, they might prove to be as deadly as real smoking,

Adult colouring books are big business in the UK as well, many shops have big displays of them, and they are certainly a lot more detailed than the childrens versions.

A few years ago you could buy 'poster art' which where big poster sized colouring sheets, with complicated patterns and also the colouring pencils were included, these were really aimed at adults as the patterns were too complicated for young children.

Why? I mean I love art and paint whenever I have time but why colouring in?

Easily transportable, you don't need water, can set up in seconds and don't need a lot of space. Incidentally you can now buy watercolout pens, have small bruses on the end and contain an amount of watercolour paint ready to use, just use them like pens.

My teenager daughter's psychiatrist recommended adult colouring as a way of dealing with anxiety and depression and it helps her a lot.

I know a couple of people back home who use it for calming and relaxation - both of very painful chronic medical conditions.

BAck in the 80s when I worked in a bookshop it was reasonably popular. There was a publisher called Dover, based in the USA who produced hundreds of title, some books of graphic/mosaic type designs, and some of actual pictures of people, landscapes, elves, gnomes, animals ...........
There was a steady market for them as imports as the UK had nothing similar at the time, and we always had 20-30 in stock, with a turnover of probably 50-60 a month.

As long as people aren't hurting me or trying to persuade me to take up their hobby, they can do what they damn well please. Free country and all that.

People who complain about others probably have habits that annoy the shite out of people as well

indeed. Sadly, as has become evident in this thread, if it's not something familiar to an individual then lets ridicule it.
