Victorian fires: Emergency warnings remain in place for Kyneton, Benalla, Longwood fires
Hot weather and a cool gusty change has sparked over 200 fires in Victoria with a number of emergency watches still in place.
There are four main trouble spots in and around Lake Rowan, Kyneton, Benalla and Longwood East, south of Euroa.
The CFA issued emergency warnings for several communities in north-eastern Victoria.
People in Boweya, Mount Bruno, and Boweya North were advised it was too late to leave their homes and to take shelter indoors at 11:20pm (AEDT).
Residents at Chesney Vale, Winton North, Bungeet and Bungeet West are advised that leaving their homes was the safest option with a fast-moving fire travelling easterly towards the communities.
An emergency warning was also issued for Goorambat, Chesney and Devenish, near Benalla.
