Police are offering a $50,000 reward to anyone who can help identify the arsonist who lit the series of fires in Baldivis last Tuesday.

More than 100 firefighters battled to extinguish the blaze, that got within metres of homes.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said on Wednesday morning the fire had been contained but a "watch and act" was still in place for the area, with temperatures expected to soar to the mid-30s by the afternoon.
