Your best bet would be to use White PagesĀ® - Search for an Australian Business, Government Department or Person. I'll get this moved to the Aus forum though.

Can you post any specific details of who you are looking for?

Re: find family in Australia
This is not a post from me as an admin . It's from me as a poster.
Anyway.
Hi Stevi57.
One of my lifelong interests and hobbies in my life has been family history. Through this, I've had some success actually finding lost family for people. Sometimes long lost close family members and sometimes offshoots of family where it was always wondered 'what ever happened to them'. One has to be careful and mindful tohugh that those people may not wish to be found or contacted so caution is everything.
To find a relative one needs to give some details of that person. The people they would have emigrated with. When they emigrated - if they did. What age one thinks they were. Where they were in the UK. Occupation . All that kind of stuff.
Really , someone else's personal details are not for an open forum such as this as it is their private business. However, if you could give some general details, it may be possible to narrow down the search. From there private messages about personal details might be best.
I have subscriptions to Ancestry and FindMyPast. This allows a certain amount of charting of peoples movements.
You may know already but the Salvation Army run a family tracing service.
