Default A newbie in need of advice

Hi All

I have just found this site and hope someone can offer me advice on moving to live and teach in Vietnam?

I may live in Ho Chi Minh city for six months before gaining a job, so does anyone know if the police clearance (Disclosure Scotland) certificate I can get in England is still submissible or can I rely on a police check from Vietnam?
The reason I ask is that it states I need a police check but that it ideally needs to be recent, from the last six months where I have lived.

I have a Degree to take also, a bit peaved it appears that I must take the original, but if they need it that badly, then I must take it.
I have a letter from the university verifying I was on the course from this date to that date and hope this is sufficient.

Any other advice anyone would give (constructive, no jokers please) is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jules
