Hello. I am moving to Brunei with my family in a month. Are there things that you would recommend I take with me? Any food, toiletries, medicine, houseware etc? It's very difficult to find any information about it. Thank you so much!

Brunei Shell used to have a Commissary which sold all types of food, not fresh food, but frozen meat etc and alcohol if you had a license.
You didn't have to be employed by Brunei Shell to use the place but this was all 30 years ago.

It's an easy drive over the border to Miri in Malaysia if you want more choice. 30 years ago it used to be a major expedition.
