Apologies - I had assumed that a Ukrainian with a masters degree, fluent English and childcare experience could get the 457. Then could bring family over (ie the Brit).

She would need to qualify for a 457.
Then find a sponsor.
Then be able to prove at least a 6 month cohabiting de facto relationship with her partner.
