Which parts of Philippines have you liked? Have you decided on one particular area yet?

I have been living on the beach in Narra for 4 months in a small apartment on a secure resort. Narra is very quiet but the people are really welcoming. At the moment I am house hunting in Puerto Princesa where there is more to do and more Caucasian people. Also basic requirments are more readily available for someone who is planing a short or extended stay.
One can access all of the town in 15 minutes, If I can be of any further help to you, my email is <<snip>> and mobile number is <<snip>> do not hesitate in contacting me. I will be happy to impart more information.

I had visited the Philippines twelve times, meeting my wife on the fifth visit. We came here to live eight years ago, but returned to UK for a short while as my mother was dying. After my mother passed away we returned here, and have been here for six years continously in Cebu, where we have built a home.
I have never looked back, I am part of a large, happy, and loving family. I fit in well.

The people like the climate are warm, and friendly. Always smiling and happy.

Thank you for your response. I am at present staying in Narra on the island of Palawan. It is nice and peacefull here but after 4 months a tad boring, despite the long empty beaches and wonderfull indigenuos people. House hunting in Puerto Princesa at the moment but the road condition is very tiring and uncomfortable. I intend to make a home there and visit more of this wonderfull country

I intended to stay in Thailand but was put off Pattaya and the lousy traffic in Bangkok. Maybe I was short sighted not looking further afield.

Please email me if you wish to correspond and share experieces.

Well I think Pattaya and Bangkok are busy places. Thailand is a big country but so is the Philippines too - lots of different places to choose from. Difficult choice sometimes.

Yes! As I wrote, maybe short sighted but no regrets (yet)

I may go back, but the more confident I get the more there is to see e.g. Vietnam,(when it dries out) Cambodia,Laos, Malaya.
