Default Renting out my flat when I live abroad

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on renting my flat when I live abroad. I lost my job so had to move to another city in the UK for a new job. So, my flat has been rented out for the past 5 years and my mortgage company has given me permission to do so (consent to let).

I have just been offered a job in Sweden, so if I tell the mortgage company this, they might make me go for a Buy to let mortgage which has hefty fees or may not allow me to have a mortgage at all in which case I would have to find a new one which is a bit of a pain.

Some people have told me to not bother telling them that I am going to live abroad, but pretend I'm moving to my parents or in with a friend and they would be none the wiser. So long as they keep getting their payments on time, they shouldn't bother me.

I would be grateful if anyone could give me some advice on this matter, thanks :-)
