Default Potential move to Bulgaria

Hi, we are in the process of purchasing a house in Rupkite but are getting conflicting advice on the condition!!!

We have been told the house is repairable, and then another builder tells us it needs demolishing and re-building (which we can't afford to do!). Are there any British builders out there who could have a quick recce for us to give us some honest advice, without any business interests? Thanks. We are in the UK at the moment and can only visit during school holidays. Our next visit will be to complete the sale!

Hi Kazman and welcome to BE

I've moved your post over to our European section - I'm not sure how many members there are in Bulgaria, but someone can hopefully offer some advice.

Good luck

Sorry I don't know any builder in that area, my advice is be careful who you use expats or locals. From the sound of it the property needs lots of work, many have bought cheap properties to then find that the cost of doing it up was more expensive then buying a property already renovated where you can actually see the finish work.

When we renovated our property near Burgas, that needed mainly cosmetic work we found it took double the amount we budgeted for.

Whatever you do good luck
