Never said they weren't. I'm not moving for educational or economic reasons. I'm moving for cultural ones. But feel free to mock and take the mick rather than leaving helpful comments. After all, what's the point in acting like a grownup?

Cheers, to be honest down under would not be an option for me. I'm still researching Canada. To be honest they are quite socialist but it does have a lot going for it, so I'll have to get more detail.

As far as I'm concerned this country has no real future. I'm desperate to live in a free country. My criterion for my new place to live is pretty simple. I'd love to live somewhere that isn't socialist, and where you can own guns without too much trouble. I was thinking the US but I hear it's super tricky. Now I'm thinking Switzerland or somewhere similar.

To be honest I'm not an attractive migrant, my current profession is Gardening and I don't have a degree. So low skilled work will be what I do until I find my feet. I'll do anything to live somewhere free, I'll scrub toilets, I do not care. However I'm middle class and very personable, so super employable in person, just not on paper.

What would my chances be of finding work and getting residency?

P.S. I know that socialism and gun bans are popular with brits. I'd rather not discuss politics. Please just respect my reasons, thanks.
OK, firstly this is from someone who has just spent the last 5 months in the UK and is now back in Spain. My first comment is that I wouldn't think twice about moving back to the UK if it came to the point that it was either necessary or beneficial.

I dont for a moment understand really why you say there is no future in the UK and seemingly think that this will be different elsewhere

Take Spain for instance, seeing as you have posted here. You will immediately encounter huge unemployment levels. There is no fall back if you do manage to get a job and are "got rid of". Depending on where you choose, the cost of living can be as expensive as the UK (mainly in the CDS) and as far as the UK is concerned you are treated as a leper and will struggle to get health cover here.

So, you may well be personable and middle class, but here it will mean nothing because there are hundreds of thousands of personable middle class Spaniards also looking for any employment they can get.

All I am saying is think very carefully about what you have in the UK against what you may not have in other countries. It's simple to think that problems may be solved by jumping ship, but you may end up in the same sh!t different place syndrome

Personally, I came to Spain because I wanted a different way of life for a while. I dont have to work, so I dont have that pressure. In reality apart from the weather life aint that different here to what it is in the UK, the main difference being you have to fight your fights in a different language

Good luck to you in your quest, but do it for the right reasons and understand fully what you are getting into

It's simply a matter of culture mate. Brits have no culture and no spine. The riots proved that, most just coward and let their communities get taken over by thugs. I live in London. Hackney to be more precise. Nothing will change here because a lot brits are weak minded. Sorry to say it but it's true. This effects the living the living conditions of those of people who are not weak minded because we have to live under the same policies as they do. I want to live somewhere where people don't beg for government handouts and everything to be done for them by the state. Simple really. (Just to be clear, I was born here and have lived here all my life).

I'm just throwing this out there, but before taking the jump and moving abroad have you considered moving somewhere else in the UK? It has such a diverse countryside and rich culture. Culturally the SW for example is so very different from the NE etc etc. You may find what you are looking for in a hidden corner in the UK.

I know you are going to hate me for this, and I apologise in advance ..... but where you live speaks for itself. I hate going to London,l always have and I always tell people that London aint England, in the same way people say New York isn't America. So in Warwickshire and the suburbs of South Birmingham where Ive lived, it just doesnt feel the same. I appreciate many cities are the same and many have had their own protests and riots. But look at Madrid, Athens, Paris ... the same applies

There are things I hate about the UK as well, just as there are in Spain ... but they are not enough to make me ignore the fact that the grass is not always greener on the other side

Oh no mate I agree, but other areas of england still have the same laws and government so it makes no bones in terms of moving for me. To be honest I think the 2011 riots were a little different to the ones in other countries. It was a show force by the criminal apolitical mob. And jack got done about it. They ruled the streets simple as. I just hate socialism and being told I have no right to be armed.

I can't think of somewhere suitable. Maybe southern states of the USA, but you're not qualified unless you could marry an American.

Yeah I thought about it. Scotland's great. In my opinion a lot of northern still have some balls and backbone about them, the Welsh too. But The laws are still the same so it's a no go. If say I could own the types of firearm I want to in Scotland I'd move a live and be happy as Larry. I think what I need to do is marry an American girl. If you know any who'd take a fit young lad, who's happy to iron his own shirts, please put them in touch.

Try reading a newspaper published since 2006.

BTW if you want to have guns, are prepared to learn the language and hate socialism, I'd suggest Syria.

Yeah it's a tough one. If I went a did a degree (Criminology just in case it's relevant) what would be my chances then. I've seen some threads where people say it's taken them 8-10 years of waiting, for a visa. I would wait for ten years if I needed to but it's uncertainty that's the problem. How can you plan your life like that.

Are you asking about studying for a degree in the US? It is one possible way to gain entry, depending on your level of qualifications.

Personally I think your reasons for wanting to move are very naive, however it's worth looking at all routes.

Very few people have certainty in life, especially nowadays.
