Hi just wondering how many type of sparkies we have on here,I know we have a few domestic,control systems,so what are you?

My hubby did both, however he doesn't really want to do factory work if here if he can help it, so we have leaned more to the house bashing side of things for the TRA.

I've done a bit off everything really. Domestic. Pharmacutical(sp), petrol chem, commercial, air con, servicing, Fire alarms , cold cathode lighting etc etc

Used to do the same thing for package sorting systems and airport baggage carousels, infact, anything that had to be moved to from a wharehouse to lorry or plane with minimum human intervention. All plc controlled.

Back to what I do best now, network integrated UPS systems.

John is one of the PLC and systems stuff guys,so what licence as in Elec Mech ,fitter,are you all applying for or have gotten already?

Done some light industrial but mainly house bashing. Dabbled in electronics too but currently installing central heating systems for British Gas. Following bloomin' plumbers around all day. Best job I've ever had.

OH Neil is installation electrician, done commercial, industrial and residential (thats about all I know! )

Would he apply for fitter or mechanic then??? again!!

mechanics can actually connect to the mains, a fitter can't. Most jobs want you to have the connect to mains licence which is a full one. A fitter will only get a restricted licence.
