I have completed the certificate 3 in eltrotechnology in perth. Because I have the aus qualification I am eligible to apply for pathway 2 skills assessment, which exempts me from the practical aspect but I still have to do technical interview. My agent thinks they may call me in for face to face interview, although it may be on phone or via skype. I would really appreciate any tips or advice on the technical interview and any other information you may have regarding it. Thanks

It doesn't come up very often but would be helpful for the next person. I know there's another thread about the ARTC interview - it would be interesting to see how similar (or not) they are.

Haha cheers, id say they are going to come up a lot more as to gain licence (in wa anyways) energy safety now require a cert 3 in electrotechnology. Once you have attained this you are eligible for vetassess pathway two, which is simply employment check and telephone interview.

The only thing is if you are qualified in UK and applying for skills assessment to be able to migrate, you'll still be doing OTSR. It's only those who come over on WHV or similar that will have cert III first.

If you complete gap training with OTSR you should be issued the cert III for licensing.

jamesS85 - Have you had the interview yet? What did it involve?
I took my OTSR and did my Gap Training through TAFE in NSW and filled out eProfiling etc. This was all sent to Vetassess for them to issue my Cert 3 but I have been told I now have to have a telephone interview before they will issue the certificate???

Any ideas what this involves? Seems like a new process but I can't get any info on it anywhere.

It's a phone interview booked for tomorrow…… :-S
