QLD electrical licence requirements
Hi, looking for some advice re electrical licence requirements for QLD. Aiming to make the big move between August and November this year so want to get the ball rolling asap.
I am the primary visa applicant applying as RGN. My husband is a time served spark, he is really looking for a systematic approach to what is required to obtain his electrical licence.
As far as I understand, he doesn't need vetasses as he doesn't need a skills assessment for visa purposes, so if he does his OTSR, will this be enough to enable him to start the ball rolling for his years supervised practice when we arrive in QLD?
Thanks

Re: QLD electrical licence requirements
As the requirements seem to change state to state, this person / company has been recommended to help in QLD - HomePage - I can't personally vouch for them as came on skills assessment / OTSR route in SA
Info on licensing for QLD is here - https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/lice...han-apprentice
It is worrying that the training and licensing both still mention ARTC's which can no longer be issued - Australian Recognised Trade Certificate programme to close .
As your OH does not require assessment for migration, he can approach an RTO for recognition. TRA listed ones are Vetassess, Vic Uni or Future Skills which would seem to suggest he will still be issued an OTSR.
