help with wiring regs
only just read this email i`ve recieved over the weekend can some one give an answer ?
I'm currently doing the wiring rules course at Peer and wondering if you could help me with a few queries.
In AS/NZS3008 selection of cables I seem to be having a few problems distinguishing between the installation methods in tables 3(1), 3(2), 3(3), 3(4). There are cable details for 2 single core cables, 3 single core cables, 2 core cables and 3 core cables.
I was wondering if you could clarify for me what these categories represent, eg which one would I use for a 3 phase circuit. Also which one would I use for 3 x 3 phase circuits and which one would I use for a 3 core and earth (multi core).
thanks guys ( got to get to work )
steve

Re: help with wiring regs
3 core is your three phase, use it for multi core also, ie Orange circ with neutral, earth

Re: help with wiring regs
Two single core - single phase
Three single core - three phase
Two core cable - single phase
Three core cable - three phase
3 (1) for cables in air not inside containment
3 (2) for cables in containment
3 (3) for cables buried direct in the ground
3 (4) cables buried in wiring enclosures
