Young couple moving to Cyprus
 

Hi all, so glad I found a page like this. I am a 25 year old Brit who will be moving to Cyprus in September with my Cypriot partner. Although he is a local I would like to hear from other expats about what gathering spots and activities are popular for expats other than the pub? I would also be looking to work as my experience is in marketing and project management. Does anyone here have any tips or advice about how it is to work in Cyprus as a Brit and the best places to look for a job? Thanks :)

Asking because myself and my wife are moving back this December for good and we are also a young 32 year old couple, we lived there before for 6 months in 2016 and loved it. We did our research on areas to live in etc.. if you need any help let us know!

We have now moved over and have landed in paphos. I get the feeling the younger expats are mostly located in Limassol and Nicosia. So meeting people is proving difficult but its early days yet :) where abouts did you live before? And are you returning to the same place?

Yes I would say, We did find that paphos was more on the older side... I would say defiantly younger people in Limassol or Larnaca . Great thing we find with Larnaca is that it is central to everything. 30 minutes limassol, 30 minutes nicosia and even paphos only 1hr 15 max. But the benefit of Larnaca is that it is very family friendly and reasonably priced still! Sorry to answer your question we live in Larnaca actually meneou which is 5 minutes from Larnaca. but all very central. We arrive back for good on the 13th December, actually packing up now, boxes everywhere!!
